Torquay Chamber of Commerce
What are our aims?
The TQCC is a completely independent body with no political affiliations. Our role is to give local businesses a voice on the issues of the day and those that will shape the future of the town. Our objective is to promote best practice and encourage accountability and transparency. In short we aim to get things done.
There are several bodies and initiatives promoting business activity in Torbay, not the least of which are our fellow chambers in Paignton and Brixham. TQCC is happy when appropriate to work alongside them to promote both Torquay and the bay in general. However we think it's equally important that Torquay's business owners, large and small, have access to a body that is independent, with no political allegiances. Also that it is capable of providing representation and a voice at all levels of government, primarily local and regional but ultimately national too, in order to further our members best interests.
The chamber is non profit making, run by volunteers who represent a broad cross section of business owners and specialist expertise. They have the same interests at heart as you do. Making Torquay a vibrant business community which will in turn will attract more visitors to the UK's No.1 resort.

Quite simply because no one has your best interests at heart as much as we do
Every organisation needs critical mass. The more mass the more weight your arguments carry. So the more chance you have of being agents of change. That's why we need you. For less than a pound a week you can help us make your voice heard. Your concerns made known. And hopefully make things happen for the better. These aren't lofty ideals. Just plain business sense.
